    Kernel source configeration

    Hi there

    Upon trying to go
    make config
in the linux source dir (/usr/src/linux-2.4.24) I get a few errors and then get dropped back to the bash command prompt; mainly

    command not found line 51
    line 68: syntax error...
    make: *** [config] Error 2

Do I have to do something beforehand or what do I do to fix it up?
Am running Redhat 9 with GCC installed.

    Cheers

Or use the XConfig using: make xconfig
Or if you're running Gnome, you can modify it using the inbuild kernelconfigurator, I though you could find it under System Tools.

I would try getting a new kernel tree (whether the same version or not).
