setting up a printer from scratch
guys,
Im trying to configure a usb printer thru Linux i knw its just simple but heres my situation.
My team wants to do it manually without using any GUI tool since we will just be using the console.
We build the linux kernel 2.6.6 and we will use this kernel to embed to a x86 CPU driven device thats why we dont need GUI and this device is connected to a USB printer. We have the device working in Suse Linux and also its drivers but i have used the UI tool in setting up the printer.
I need help in:
a) How to do this in a console mode given only the linux kernel compiled.
b) Do you have some website link to recommend for doing this?
c) Where do i Start?
thanks

You'll probably get more responses posting this to the proper forum. This is the kernel forum.
