    user comments for make menuconfig

Is it somehow possible to enter comments during make menuconfig when building a kernel? The thing is that some choices I make while configuring a kernel have a certain reason, and just like programming, I'd like to enter some comments right there and then. For example why did I enable that chipset xyz?

Is this entirely possible, or did someone solve this otherwise? Did I mis any obvious options?

I've never heard something like that... sorry, maybe you could edit the saved configuration file resulting from make menuconfig...

    Best regards
