Low memory kernels
:P I have an old Toshiba 1670CDS Laptop and my motherboard wont accept the memory i put in
. it is very slow and i was wondring wether anyone knows some low memory kernels that i can bot from a floppy

How much RAM do you currently have in the machine? If you have Linux installed, you can compile a small kernel by stripping down all the unneeded options in your kernel config. Also removing all unnecessary daemons will cut down your RAM usage.

Just do as J said compile the kernel with only what you need and it sould be ok.
