    Booting problems after compiling 2.6.17.7

    Hi,

I compiled 2.6.17.7 and I'm getting theese errors:

    Code:
Mounting udev on /dev failed : invalid argument
    mknod /dev/console : File exists
    0 //this is zero
    And booting stops.

When I choose recovery mode, booting stops at Waiting for root file system...

I have ext2, ext3 and IDE driver compiled staticaly, am I missing something?

It is Ubuntu and yes, I can boot into old kernel. But i'd like to boot to my new kernel too, but I probably didn't compile something I really should.
