    Unhappy combination keys Fn+keys Does not work!




    Hi guys , i have problem with my laptop ( Toshiba Satellite A100-192 )

    I Use Suse 10.1 , But Functions keys ( Fn+F1,F2.......etc) not work , i try

    install FnFX but i must recompile kernel , how i can do this??


    pls help me

    There are a lot of tutorials and "step-by-step" guides about this topic. Try to search (Google is your friend )

    Basically you need to type:

    make config
    make bzImage
    make modules_install

    But please, refer to a more completed tutorial.

    And another related question: Is there not a precompiled module/package available in order to not recompile your kernel? Probably that would save a lot of time.
