I want my console frame buffer, but when I compile the linux kernel I get a screwy screen. What things do I need to include to make sure that I can have my framebuffered screen. Also will the Nvidia utils compile withe the new kernel.
When I compile the frambuffer module into the kernel and i boot with the command vga = 791 I get a black screen. But if I boot with command vga = normall It works fine. does anybody know whats going on.

OK I fixed it. For anybody that might have this problem just compile in the vesa driver. Don't worry about any other driver. Thats what did it for me.
