how tos
the rhn up2date applet will do this for you. But the sources list points to a strange one.
open a terminal and changed to root
then cd to this directory /etc/sysconfig/rhn
copy your existing sources file in case something goes wrong
cp sources sources.oops
then edit your sources file and replace the contents with this:
now use the up2date applet in gnome to search for updates. the kernel should be in there.Code:yum fedora-core-1 http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/yum/stable yum fedora-us-core-1 http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/yum/os yum fedora-us-updates-1 http://download.fedora.us/fedora/fedora/1/i386/yum/updates
***** May be you should ignore me as I just noticed he said kernel 2.6 and that isn't available on these repositories yet. *****
