    USB mouse on Kernel 2.6.3 does not work

    HI,
    I compiled a kernel 2.6.3 on Red Hat 9(kernel 2.4.20-6) but after make install and reboot, my Logitech USB mouse does not work with kernel 2.6.3 although I have been installed module-init-tools-3.0. Please help me

    Make sure that you have USB support in /etc/modprobe.conf

    Changing modules names...

    In the kernel 2.6.X many kernel modules have changed their names... check it with lsmod, and see if something about usb host is loaded... if not, you have found the problem!

    Edit you /etc/modules to load modules at startup correctly! BYe
