Is there anyone here knows how to solve my problem? When i am installing a fresh OS(ubuntu 6.10) in my computer the messege appear (<0> kernel panic not syncing attempted to kill!)

did install complete ?
boot up through Ubuntu Cd and in Terminal, type
sudo fdisk -l
(its small 'L')
'Enter Password'... press 'Enter' key here... post the output here.....

I was not able to complete my installation because of that problem. By the way, what is "sudo fdisk -l"?

fdisk will list all the partitions in your disk. i wanna check your disk's partition structure.
