a problem with nvidia driver
hi,
i compiled a kernel ,but it doesnt allow me to install nvidia driver.whenever i try to install nvidia kernel,it says it conflicts with nvidiafb module and i have to complile kernel without it.but if i do so,it will not work.i have seen enough that blank black screen.so help me

Disable nvidiafb and enable the vesafb in the kernel, why do you say it won't work?

What about x64?
There is no more vesa-tng on x64 and legacy vesa driver is too slow when writing to console.
