    kernel 2.6.3 crash the php4-mysql


    I compile the kernel 2.6.3 in my debian distro, and everything is fine, but i cant connect to mysql through php (call to undefined function mysql_connect()). The packages (mysql-server,mysql-client,php4-mysql) have be installed.

    Comment: on my kernel 2.4, the mysql_connect work on.

    Anyone have a idea to solve this, please?

    The obvious first: is mysqld running? Also, have you tried reinstalling the packages?

    Other than that, I can't think of what could be wrong.
