Is it possible to mount a volume UNDER ramfs?
Hi there.
I was wondering if it was possible to mount a backing store underneath an existing ramfs instead of over the top.
The idea is to use a ramfs system to boot an embedded Linux system as quickly as possible, and then once the system is up, fsck a hard disk volume then mount it under the already existing log files in the ramfs and sync the backing store so that the log files then end up in non-volatile storage.
Cheers,
