are mandrake and redhat kernels exactly the same?
Hello.
I'm trying to use the kgdb kernel debugger (on a mandrake system) but the kernel patches are for redhat distributions. So i'm wondering if redhat and mandrake kernels are the same? (exactly the same?). Given that they are the same version that is.
thanks

No. Both Redhat and Mandrake modify their kernels to include extra support etc.. But a vanilla kernel can always be found on kernel.org
Good luck
