Even easier, go to Applications->Add/Remove Programs (if you're using GNOME). The kernel source should be listed in the Development section, or you can search for it. Once you download it, it should be installed in /usr/src/linux-[version numbers]. From that point on, it's pretty standard, there are a lot of tutorials on how to compile your own kernel.
