kgdb patch not working

hi friends,
i am trying to patch the kernel 2.6.15.5 with the kgdb-2.4 patch and following every bits of documenatation instructions but it's failing to patch the i386.patch file. don't know the reason can anybody help me, i am stuck here from last week.

I had the same problem, I did get it built by skipping some patches for architectures I wasn't needing, but then the kernel when booted would crash about 8 out of 10 times, and when it did boot, only about 2 out of 5 times would I get a gdb prompt from another machine. Then when I had a gdb prompt, the first command I tried locked up the box.

I also tried versions 2.6.13 and a couple others (I forget which), the patches all had some failures, you may have guessed by this time I have punted...

now i have finaly patched the 2.6.15.5 kernel successfully compiled and booted but is not able to connect to the the test machine i am using serial port and have checked it.
serial port transfer is fine when done on normal file Xfer but not with kgdb it just stuck upon the message "uncompressing Linux...."
any help would be much appreciated.

Follow inside kgdb-2.4 patch folder one file name "series"
follow that sequence of file to patch then ur problem will solve
