VFS: Unable to mount root fs on ...

I compiled the newest kernel 2.6.6 ( i had 2.4.22) and after reboot i got this kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0).
Somebody told me it could be somewhere in grub.conf the problem...but it isn`t...I think i made some bad options in the configuration....don`t know.If you have any ideea about this, i thank you for your post...

Did you remeber to include FS support baked into the kernel?

I don`t know what is FS filesystem about, but i sure know that i included the ext3 filesystem support (my linux partition) and that was the reply...If you could be more specific...please...because this is the first time i compile a kernel...

Did you include the correct filesystem support in your kernel? And did you make it * instead of M (won't work)?

If you're unshure about what FS you're using, try "fdisk -l".

My corect filesystem is, as i said, ext3 and i have made it * and not (M), I mean i includead in the kernel and not made it as a module

Well, the solution to my problem was quite simple, and i found it after 3 days from a friend of mine.And yes, the problem was in grub.conf, and i will post it again with the corect one to show you the solution:
