    Compile Kernel 2.6 on ESX Server

    hi,
    i have ESX Server 3.1 , i'm install debian sarge with kernel 2.4
    after that i'm compile kernel 2.6.18 on the debian .
    but when i'm boot with new kernel i have this error :


    i'm test new kernel in the other system ( not in the ESX Server )
    the kernel is normal boot with out any error .

    please help me what i need to do ???

    Only an idea. Maybe it something to do with devfs for 2.4 kernels und udev for 2.6 kernels.

    What does the command line tool "mount" (without arguments) say?
