    Unhappy new kernel not booting up



    hi!
    i created a new kernel based on RedHat Enterprise edition. it compiled perfectly without any error. and a boot image was created. now it's not booting up!

    Pls post the error you are getting

    Hi,

    Please post what sort of error it is giving. Is it a Kernel Panic when booting up or is it dumping some other sort of error !!!??

    Whats the base linux kernel that you are having !!! I mean, on which kernel version did you compile your new kernel !? And, whats the kernel version of that new kernel !!??

    the error it shows is a kernel panic.
    new kernel version is 2.6.13
    base kernel version is 2.7.3

    You must print more info about error. What kernel print before panic?
