Well, I bit the bullet and purchased today:
1. Understanding the Linux Kernel (ISBN: 0596005652)
2. Linux Programmer's Toolbox (0132198576)
3. Linux Programming by Example: The Fundamentals (0131429642)
4. GNU/Linux Application Programming (1584503718)
5. Linux Administration Handbook (0131480049)
There's likely a lot of overlap in the 3 programming books, but each is likely to contain a few tidbits making the purchase worthwhile.
