ok i think this a a kernel problem
right now i am running yoper linux which was great...the first time i opened it. now i cant even boot it up.
about half way into bootup i see this thing like
code 43 58 09 82 83
just a bunch of random numbers. then the computer hangs. when it comes back it says "autodetection causes hangs, please check you BIOS settings
so i went into BIOS but i cant tell what should have to be changed
im not certain but that could be the bios's autodetection of your hard disk(s). in the bios try setting "type" to "manual" or "userdefined". all bioses are different some are buggy and crap some work quite well..
you can install linux on some bioses - replaceing the proprietry bios with a custom linux installation (how cool is that) this would fix any bios bugs (probably)
