I have a flashcard cf contained programs running on the linux kernel 2.4.25. I used the dd command in windows to copy into an image file, then copy to a flashcard other cf. when the boot is normal but when the program loads the following error message:
init: entering runlevel: 3
rewriting cmos .... rebooting .....
specific command as follows:
dd if = \ \. \ physicaldriver1 of = file.img
file.img dd if = of = \ \. \ physicaldriver1
please just fix, thanks
What distribution+version+kernel are you running now?
Why don't you try after formatting the CF card using fdisk command and try again?

Ah, an antique version of Red Hat. I'm not sure that it will properly support CF or SD cards properly. Are you stuck using 3.3.2, or can up upgrade to a more recent distribution, such as RHEL 5.x or 6?
