Info on how kernel handles processes.
Hi, I would like to have inks to information on how the kernel (2.6) handles processes. By handle I mean to load, delete... I have found this site:
The Linux Kernel
but is for the 2.0 kernel and not 2.6. Does any one know of something similar but for 2.6? Has the kernel changed so much that the tutorial is so out dated?
souled explain why I need this information.
What I ideally need is information on how the kernel determines what sort of opcode is at a specific address in a process in order to deal with it. Also, how does the kernel map processes into memory?
I have no idea how I might find this information and 40MB of code seams a lot to read!
All comments are appriciated.
