Non SMP kernel on Multiple Cores machine
Boston Circuits had released a strange gCore 16 (grid on chip) CPU with 16 ARC 760D cores with built in hardware virtualization:
"Multicore Virtualization," takes the complexity of multi-core software and moves it into hardware. An on-chip "Time Machine" handles scheduling, resource allocation, and object synchronization dynamically, simplifying the software development process while minimizing latency and overhead.
Will non SMP version of ARC Linux support this new gCore 16 CPU?
Will the future Multicores CPU from Intel/AMD have the same module?
Is this HW virtualization approach faster/slower than Linux SMP approach?
