can't get knoppix cd to run

I have downloaded the latest knoppix iso. I have burned it to a cd using nero.
I have my xp set to boot from cd, yet when I turn the computer on with the cd already in I can here it spin yet it doesn't start up; my computer just goes to where it asks if I want to start in normal mode or safe mode.
So I unloaded the iso into a seperate folder, then burned all the files to cd.
This time I here the cd spin but the computer boots straight to windows.
Does anyone know what might cause my knoppix cd not to run?
Thank for any imput.

When you first boot it up it should tell you which button to press to get to your BIOS. Push it. Somewhere there should be an option so it boots from the CD drive first.

Did you burn the iso like this?
BTW, don't need to put it into any folder.

If it was a bad burn, here's another HowTo that has helped lots of users get their Linux CD burned properly:

Be sure you don't make the CD bootable yourself, because the ISO burning process takes care of that step automatically.
