Using BitTorrent with Knoppix?

I am using Knoppix 6.0.1. It does not seem to have come with a torrent application. Is there a way to use BitTorrent or similar application while running Knoppix from a CD?

if you have knoppix loaded to a USB drive, or something else you can write to, you could consider compiling and installing ctorrent onto it. ctorrent is very light weight, no gui requirements (because it is console based) but I have found it to be VERY reliable.

is a DL location, but you could find the project homepage by googling I guess.

The usual favourites are Azureus, Ktorrent and Transmission. All are good but they have different features. Knoppix is debian based as far as I remember so you should be able to use apt-get to install it.

I guess you could install those bloated GUI apps

I still think of knopix as being a minimalist environment for some reason, I dont know why
