Knoppix CD booting

Whenever I boot Knoppix from the CD it says it displays everthing fine but after it autodetects devices it pauses for like 3 minutes then says: "Autodetection seems to hang, please check your computer's bios settings." Then after it starts up, its super super slow. It didn't used to do this. Does anyone know what is wrong?
