can't find apt-setup

i have installed knoppix 3.8.1 on my hd.
i can't find apt-setup. is there any difference to the debian paket management?

To become root, use "sudo su -" or "su -".

i tried sudo apt-setup, but username is not in sudoers file. how can i add username to sudoers file?
afterwards i logged in as root and tried apt-setup ... resulted in command not found (in which directory should apt-setup be?)

The full path of apt-setup is /usr/sbin/apt-setup.

on my box apt-setup is not in /usr/sbin. however thanks for your help.
