"knoppix screen" boot option doesn't work!

Hi,

I am trying to get my screen resolution to 1024x.I have Dell dimension 4600 PC,with 17"monitor. Following suggestions here,I used the options during boot, like 'knoppix screen' . The resolution improves immediately, but as the booting continues and the screen changes,it goes back to the old resolution of 680x480 .
How do I make the boot options persisistent?

Thank you,
Anwesha.

You might try adding the "depth" and "vsync" options along with the screen option. Be sure to use values you know your monitor can handle.
