Installing knoppix 4 to the hard drive

How do I do it? I've done Fedora installations but I'm lost on how to get this to go. Can't even find a command to do it that works.

Not sure about your version, but in my 3.8.2, it was described in plenty of detail in the window that is open when you boot to the CD Scroll down a ways and look for FAQs. I found it to be really simple.

Even easier might be to do Ctrl-Alt-F2 which will come up with a root console and then you can really *be* root while your doing rootish kind of things.

You can also set root password there and then within X you have the pw when asked!

Have fun -

PS: to get back to X from console do Alt-F5
