Defragmenter=Not necessary, disk does not get fragmented enough to make a difference in Linux.
AV=Again, not necessary. Unless you are using Linux in a business environment. Then you could check out Clam AV or F-Prot.
But for most Linux systems, the only "maintenance" that needs to be done is to keep your packages up-to-date.
You are using Knoppix which has "Apt-get.
So you can just do as root in a terminal.
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
That will update all of the packages on your system.
