Trouble with qtparted

I wanted to resize my main partition so that I could install Slackware at some point in the future, but I can't resize it. The only partitions I have on my drive are the one that KNOPPIX is installed to and a swap partition... Anyone know why it won't work?

you cannot resize the drive while it is mounted. I'd suggest you use the livecd/dvd and then use qtparted, but make sure the drive is unmounted before trying to resize.
