Knoppix Live CD

Hi, Ii am thinking about trying the Knoppix liv CD and had a few questions.

1. Is there any chance taht the live Cd from here http://www.knoppix.org/ or direct link here http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aache...5-05-27-EN.iso
can mess up windows?

2. To use i just set to boot from CD in the BIOS, and then pop her in the drive. Right?

3. Any way to add programs to CD? Or download programs, or somthing

thanks

It won't mess with Windows unless you tell it to.
Yes, just put it in the drive and reboot.
I think there is a way, but not sure... better check the knoppix wiki for that:

Hi FPP, i just wanted to second what Ozar said, and also encourage you to try some of the other live cd's as well. Knoppix was the first linux live cd i tried, Mepis, Mandriva, and Ubuntu are also good. Have fun!!

If you were to decide to install it to the hard drive, or you used some of the tools available on the CD to play around with Windows partitions. Knoppix will know the partitions are there and will in fact show them to you, but there's very little opportunity for accidental destruction unless you give it commands to do so.
