The only thing I can think of is to check all of your account settings (the login, the protocol, etc.). You might also check for the newest version of Gaim.

What's the error message?

Yahoo has an annoying habit of changing their protocol to thwart the use of third party IM clients. However, I'm using GAIM and my Yahoo messenging account is working just fine.

I'm not sure what version of GAIM I'm using, but it's pretty old and it's whatever comes with Debian Stable. Thus, Yahoo must not have changed their protocol recently...

What port does yahoo messenger use? Is it blocked in your firewall? If you are using a router have you forwarded your port to your PC?
