Idiot Just Joined! Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 1	Knoppix starting difficulties I put cd in cd-rom and restart the computer. The ''welcome window'' is displayed, it says: PRESS RETURN TO START LINUX. When I do that for few seconds is displayed loading Linux................ and then comes blackout screen( only dark). What should I do? Cd is working at my friends computer which is much slower machine than mine.

fomhoire Just Joined! Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: uk, cambs + herts Posts: 34	FYI: to turn off acpi type: acpi=off When it asks you to press enter. If there are still problems try going through the no * section here: http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/knoppix/kn...cheatcodes.txt
