Using a flash usb drive with knoppix live.

Hi,looks like nothing is going properly for me with Knoppix.in addition to not being able to use internet I also cannot even recognize or access my flash drive. It is funny because I was going to put a driver on it so that I could use the internet.Isn't the flash drive supposed to come up on the desktop along with all of the other drives,if not,is there any way that i can access it?
Thanks for the help!
P.S. this flash drive does use FAT,not sure if ti is 16 or 32 though, dont really think it matters that much.

Whenn you boot into knoppix and everything is settled down. Put the USB disk in, then in a term...as root type
Code:
dmesg
Give me the last few lines....about 5 or so?

OK, thanks for responding, last 6 lines are:

agpgart:detected an intel 945g chipset
agpgart:agp aperture is 256m@0x0
ntfs driver 2.1.22 [flags:r/w module].
ntfs volume version 3.1
apm:bios version 1.2 flags 0x03(driver version 1.16ac)
apm:disabled-apm is not smp safe.

So tell me,is this a bad thing or good thing, does it mean that the usb drive is not found or that it uses ntfs file system?Windows says it uses fat system.

Thanks for the help so far.
