can you link to the internet through usb?

I am new to knoppix and linux and this is stage one of my root to linux on playstation 2. is there a way of linking to the internet through usb on knoppix? as my computer does not have an ethernet drive, i know it sounds stupid but it doesnt.

If you could use a regular adsl modem that can hook to a pci NIC via a cat 5 cable, then you could be in business. I'm afraid I can't help at all with an ADSL USB router. I just purchased a WUSB54G ... How do I configure this to work under V5.1.0
