Unhappy Need help with internet connection! plz
on Windows i connect to the internet using a broadband connection with user name and pass. how do i connect to the internet on Knoppix? plz help me with network config too, but in easy steps, i'm a total newbie!!!

How is your computer connected to the Internet. DSL? Cable? Straight to the modem or is their a router? Connected to a NIC? When you say you use a username and password, is this the Windows connection utility wanting it or is it that your ISP requires username and password?

i've got the user & pass from my internet provider, i dont't know if i'm connected to router or modem, all i have is a cable that enters in an ethernet adapter. The connectoin I dial is thru WAN Miniport (PPPoE)
