Exclamation Knoppix remastering help!

I have a few problems and I would really appreciate any help...

1.) after remastering, changes in KDE menu ("I mean on thet menu like the one in WinXP -Start ") don't stay. I've added some new groups and programs, but it's all back to previous!

2.) I've added some desktop icons, and they remained on the desktop but they din't hold their 'position' after the remastering... Also, their 'picture icon' has changed to some default icon.

3.) Before the splash screen, my wallpaper in the beggining looks like it is some low quality jpg, not the actual 1024x768 high res jpg!

4.) Is it posible to change those messages during the splash screen?

5.) Is there any way to change the name of user "knoppix" to some other user name but in the manner that knoppix boots in that "other" username?

Thank you in advance...

Send a message via ICQ to GodofPain
Knoppix generates menus and icons for the default knoppix user on the Live CD at boot time. Many of these files are stored in the live image under /usr.

The scripts that create the menus and copy over the graphics is done in custom knoppix scripts. Read the scripts to see what files are used.

These are the scripts used on Knoppix 4, they may have changed for Knoppix 5
/etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfig
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/45xsession
