sound drivers

Ok, I just started the gamesKNOPPIX yesterday and the sound dosnt work so is there a specific audio driver that is best? and how do I install it?

Try running alsaconf. Also take a look here for more info.

OK thanks I will take a look there. And incase you couldnt tell, wich you probably could, I dont really know anything about linux so bare with me. Thanks.

It's cool, I know I've had these kinds of issues as well

As I said, try running 'alsaconf' in the console. You might have to be root, in which case you can use the root console (you can find it in Knoppix' menu). This usually worked for me.

no sound in Knoppix alsaconf (sp?) didn't work

soooo ready 2 b done w/xp - just need sound to work an i'm in - using knoppix 2.4 (i think - don't even know how to check the version - total newbie) pls help - thx
