Van Halen Man Linux Newbie Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: N. Canton Ohio Posts: 208	sound drivers Ok, I just started the gamesKNOPPIX yesterday and the sound dosnt work so is there a specific audio driver that is best? and how do I install it?

It's cool, I know I've had these kinds of issues as well

As I said, try running 'alsaconf' in the console. You might have to be root, in which case you can use the root console (you can find it in Knoppix' menu). This usually worked for me.

Jerit Adamson Fourman Just Joined! Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 4	no sound in Knoppix alsaconf (sp?) didn't work soooo ready 2 b done w/xp - just need sound to work an i'm in - using knoppix 2.4 (i think - don't even know how to check the version - total newbie) pls help - thx
