Phone dialer application

I need a program that will run on linux.... and make it so that i can use my computer modem to call other people on the phone just like the windows dialer.exe

Ive never tried what you are talking about, but you may be able to run that program with Wine. If youre not familiar with it, its a program for linux, that allows you to run windows programs on a linux system. Have a look here for info:
