Install on USB stick

I'm trying to install Knoppmyth or worst case knoppix on a 2gb usb stick..
I managed to get knoppix installed and booting, but somewhere in the boot process it stops because it can't find a hd drive or something, don't remember the exact error message. Everything stops and I end up in a limited shell.

I think I read somewhere that knoppix didn't support scsi disks - is that the problem? Anybody have an solution to this? plz...

It does not have USB drivers in the initrd as far as I know, so these have to be added, and time has to be allowed for the USB device to respond. It can be a bit tricky as far as I know. This link may help but I think it's a little old.

If that one doesnt work for you, try this one:

I tried several different methods, and this is the simplest one, and the only one i tried that worked correctly. You have to have a bios that is capable of usb boot, some arent.
