Knoppix on a 486

I'm new t this Lounge. I'm teaching myself Linux.

My environment: Runs off a 486 box with Knoppix 5.1.1 installed on a 4 gig jump drive with a persistent image and swap file. Also have a 4 gig old hard drive attached used to store programs. Both attach via USB2 Ports

I'm trying to create a path statement that will allow me to install and run Adobe Acrobat Reader from the hard drive. How is this accomplished.?

There's xpdf and a kpdf included in Knoppix under graphics. Also on the web if there's a pdf file you want to read just click on it and the Adobe Reader starts up.

Yes and I have used it. However, I can't print using the program you suggested. The print option will not work with my ethernet attached printer. If you can help me with this problem I will be happy to use the xpdf bin.
