Hi,
In windows xp i use Realtek HD audio driver....
lspci shows:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Aud
io Controller (rev 02)
so i used alsaconf to choose hda-intel legacy and this is what i get:
"Running update-modules...
Loading driver...
Setting default volumes...
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device
Saving the mixer setup used for this in /var/lib/alsa/asound.state.
/usr/sbin/alsactl: save_state:1254: No soundcards found..."
What can i do....even when i boot from live DVD it shows sound icon at bottom right with a red cross
Help...i need to run NS2 simulations with audio packets....how do i make it work in my hdd installed knoppix 5.1.1?
I do beleive that when i used 5.0.1 to load live, sound worked.....
