help me.......

i have a knoppix live cd 3.3
my computer specifications are
mother board.........AUSUTEK computer inc- K8V-VM ULTRA
PROCESSOR AMD athlon(tm) 64 processor 2800+ with 1.7ghz
ram 512mb
segate SATA harddisk
if i boot my live cd and press enter for boot...
loading vmlinux......................
loading miniroot.gz................
then a black screen appears immediately.

i tried the cheatcodes...knoppix vga=normal the the following appeared

"un compressing linux.........ok,booting the kernal" but no sign of booting

if i tried no hardware detection in cheatcode..then many things are loaded and initialized but it stops at this statement

" VP_IDE unknown VIA southbridge ,disabling DMA "

thus my knoppix live cd is not booting......can u tell me wat is the problem?
wat has to be done?

thanking u in advance
