Knoppix Live CD 5.1 to WindowsXP Home Networking

I found this thread:
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/kno...g-knoppix.html

I tried it and I am asked for authorization.

But what username and password are supposed to be used?
I tried my account with the username.... but it failed.
I was denied access.

What do I do?

background:
-I am a knoppix n00b
-My XP Pro system won't boot
-Am using knoppix to hopefully transfer 40 Gigs of data
to a laptop
- Both computers are on LAN
- Both can ping each other, by IP and Name
- In Knoppix using Samba Network browser I can see the Windows XP Home
Laptop. But cannot access it, authorization also fails here.
- I read that XP Home cannot see Knoppix without a Reg. Hack
I would prefer for knoppix to See Windows Xp home

Thanks!!

Well thanks I guess...

I got it sorted out.
In all my trouble shooting and trying to learn knoppix
it skipped my mind that knoppix's workgroup
was different than my laptop's.

I remembered seeing it in passing, i don't even know
where I saw it to be honest. So I changed the
laptop to the same workgroup and voila! Bellicimo!
