    Read only file system.

I just copied DSL linux to my hard drive with the frugal install.

Now it says that there is a "read-only" filesystem, which I cannot edit.

I tried logging as superuser, and remounting the partition with -rw. Oddly enough it says that this perticular partiton is a /CDROM drive when I try the mount command.

Anyone know how to fix this?

    mount -t iso9660

mount it with the iso9660 file system or cdfs then navigate or open the mounted virtual system and then copy and paste the info or files u need

Post the output of fdisk -l command and contents of /etc/fstab file.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks for the help, I ended up just switching distros. Works fine now.
