A couple of questions, How long is the blank screen there for?
Is the monitor still on not in standby mode - so its still recieving a signal.
Can you try the disk on something else?

I would just to try to confim if the CD is OK, either that or do a checksum check on the disk - I have heard this done but I am not sure how to as I have never had to do it myself.

If the ISO file and burned CD are ok, try experimenting with some of the kernel boot options (cheat codes) that are available to you through the keyboard F-keys right before the CD begins to boot. You should see a message about them before it begins to boot.
It sounds like Knoppix might be having a problem with your graphics card, or maybe some other piece of hardware.oz
