but qtparted doesnt see my hard drives
so i downloaded gparted ...

partition help

Just Enter key at password prompt.
I would suggest you to try GParted or PartedMagic LiveCD.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

i treind just hitting enter didnt work

I prefer PartedMagic LiveCD because its one of the best Partition Manager and has a lot of other useful tools too.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
