    Knoppix will not full boot

    Hello,

    I have recently been trying to use Knoppix on my new pc. It is a AMD dual core 4200. It will boot up to the splash screen. I then hit ENTER and KNOPPIX will boot up till I get the message (hot-plug hardware detection) then it just stops. Not sure what is causing this. Could someone please help with this. Thanks

    A long shot, but... how much RAM do you have? It's mysterious because Knoppix is generally very reliable, and will work almost without fail.

    Knoppix Will Not Boot --- RAM

    I am running 2G of RAM. I went on to a mirror site last night and d/l version 4.0.2 and it runs perfectly on my PC. So there is definately some compatibility issues with all V5.X.X of Knoppix. The real question is are they looking into fixing this issue or even know about it.
